If your baby was born outside of the Vale of Glamorgan: You can make a declaration at Barry Register Office. The information that you provide will then be posted to the register office in the area where your baby was born and the birth will be registered there. Birth certificates can only be purchased once the birth is registered. If you would like certificates straight away, you will need to make an appointment to register in the district where the baby was born:
University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff: Cardiff Register Office
Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend: Bridgend Register Office
Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant: Rhondda Cynon Taf Register Office
