RSPCA awards SRS with PawPrints Awards
SRS received three awards, which were awarded for remarkable contributions to animal welfare
The Paw Prints awards are awarded by the RSPCA, to recognise exceptional contributions and unwavering commitment to protecting, promoting, and enhancing animal welfare through the delivery of certain services, and for SRS this includes Stray Dog Services, Animal Licensing Activity and Kennelling provisions.
For 2024 SRS have been awarded 3 awards, as follows:
Category: Stray Dog Services
Level: Platinum
Category: Animal Activity Licensing
Level: Gold
Category: Kennelling
Level: Gold
There are set criteria that the RSPCA set for the awards and the awards range from Bronze to Gold. The Platinum is awarded for when a Gold Award has been awarded for 5 years or more. We achieved gold in all three last year and this year we have improved owing to achieving the platinum award for Stray Dog Services.
Cllr Ruba Sivagnanam, Vale of Glamorgan Council Cabinet Member for Community Engagement, Equalities and Regulatory Services, said:
“These awards celebrate the incredible work that has been done by SRS, and we are extremely proud as an organisation to see this dedication and commitment rewarded.
“We value the protection of animals across in the Vale, so this recognition is a step forward in ensuring support for animals continues at this level.
“Animal welfare will always remain a priority to us, and we intend to continue and support the amazing work done across the Vale.“
